Waking Up In A Rainbow

Galerie Camille from May 11th to June 28th welcomes the exhibition Waking Up In a Rainbow, featuring Jef Bourgeau and Jessica Hopkins.

Since 1981, Jef Bourgeau has eaten the brains and guts of the first hundred years of abstraction - only to transpose it all back onto canvas in new and playful ways as he drags and drops, scans, compresses and unpacks, crashes and reboots. - Jerry Saltz, NYC art critic Hopkins’ collages present surreal landscapes, that get your neurons firing in all sorts of crazy, trippy patterns. You become a stranger in a strange land where even ordinary things (the T-Rex not withstanding) appear to have an aura of amplified intensity. That aspect makes collage fun.
